GRADUATE MAIN COMPETENCIES

The main competencies of graduates of the Alma Ata University Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Programme:

  • Able to identify drug-related problems and alternative solutions to optimise therapy
  • Able to perform pharmaceutical preparation services and medical devices according to procedures
  • Able to prepare safe, effective, stable, and quality pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Able to apply pharmaceutical science, and technology in the development of safe, effective, stable, and quality pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Able to search and/or retrace, analyse, evaluate, synthesise and disseminate information related to drugs and other pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Able to provide and disseminate information related to drugs and treatment in public health promotive and preventive efforts.
  • Able to demonstrate mastery of theoretical concepts about drugs and the biological activities they produce.
  • Able to apply theoretical and mathematical concepts in analysing physical, physicochemical, and biological phenomena.
  • Able to apply theoretical concepts in various fields of pharmaceutical science in conducting pharmaceutical research.
  • Able to improve one’s knowledge, skills, and abilities in a sustainable manner.
  • Able to apply management principles in carrying out pharmaceutical work.
  • Able to build interpersonal relationships with various parties.
  • Able to act responsibly in accordance with statutory provisions, pharmaceutical norms and ethics.

GRADUATES SUPPORTING COMPETENCIES

  • Becoming a pharmacy undergraduate who is an expert in the field of community clinical pharmacy. Bachelor of Pharmacy at Alma Ata University is equipped with quite a lot of knowledge about community clinical pharmacy coupled with field practice which can add to the experience and skills of graduates in pharmaceutical services.
  • Becoming a pharmacy undergraduate who is an expert in the field of natural ingredients pharmacy

OTHER COMPETENCIES

  • Able to demonstrate leadership behaviour that is adequate and relevant to their field of expertise.
  • Able to demonstrate intrapersonal and interpersonal behaviour in accordance with Islamic teachings that are Rohmatan lil’alamin (love for others, tolerant, and not radical).
  • Able to read the Quran well and practice prayers correctly.
  • Able to speak foreign languages with a minimum AAEPT (Alma Ata English Proficiency Test) score of 450.
  • Able to use information technology according to developments for lifelong learning.
  • Able to work together across professions in a team to achieve optimal work results.
