The Alma Ata University Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Programme was established based on the Decree of the Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education No. 194/KPT/I/2015 along with the transformation in the form of STIKES Alma Ata to Alma Ata University.
The presence of the Alma Ata Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Programme is expected to contribute to answering the challenges of the global era with very high competition in the world of work. Indonesian people are not only required to be able to compete against domestic human resources but also human resources from various parts of the world in the current era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

In 2040, UAA’s Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Programme will become a superior study programme in the field of community clinical pharmacy and natural ingredients, independent, able to compete at the ASEAN level, contributing to the development of the welfare of the nation and the world based on Islamic and Indonesian national values.
According to data from the Centre for Planning and Empowerment of Health Workers as of January 2014, Indonesia has a shortage of 8791 personnel for pharmacy workers in health centres and hospitals. This illustrates that pharmaceutical workers have a very large and broad job opportunity.

EXCELLING IN THE FIELD OF COMMUNITY PHARMACY AND NATURAL INGREDIENTS
Excelling in the field of community clinical pharmacy and natural ingredients, this is reflected in the graduate competencies of the Alma Ata University Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Program which are Bachelor of Pharmacy graduates who are experts in clinical and community pharmacy and experts in the field of natural ingredient pharmacy. Courses that support clinical and community pharmacy specialisation are: Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Care, IEC, Surveillance 1 and 2, Community Health Practice, Self-medication, Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacology, Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, Public Health Science, Prescription, Prescription Science, Drug Interactions.
Courses that support the specialisation of natural materials are: Pharmaceutical Botany, Herbal Medicine, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Phytotherapy, Self-medication, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biotechnology, Microbiology.
ACTIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING
The Pharmacy Study Programme of UAA strives to produce graduates who are independent and globally competitive, therefore Alma Ata University Bachelor of Pharmacy graduates must be able to speak foreign languages with a minimum AAEPT (Alma Ata English Proficiency Test) score of 450. To achieve this, students are given English courses which include TOEFL training. In addition, native speaker from America are invited to teach English courses.
INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
RAHMATAN LIL'ALAMIN
Based on Islamic values, it is reflected in the competence of graduates who show intrapersonal and interpersonal behaviour according to the teachings of Islam which is called Rohmatan lil’alamin (love for others, tolerant, and not radical). Supporting subjects are Islamic Studies I and II, as well as the integration of Islamic values in every course.
