DIPLOMA OF MIDWIFERY PROGRAM
ARTICLE
A midwife is someone who has been trained in a midwifery education program recognized by the country and has graduated from that program, and has the qualifications to be registered and/or has a legal permit to practice midwifery. In the past, the definition of midwives was a term only for people who studied in special schools to help women during childbirth. The designation of “helping women” does not mean that a midwife can be perceived as a servant. Helpers can be interpreted as people who provide assistance in the form of adequate health services to mothers who are giving birth or in labor.
